WHO IS TIM THE MOTIVATOR?
A COUNTRY BOY WITH A GLOBAL VISION
“I was born in Greenwood, SC and raised all over the world as a military brat. I lived in Germany for 8 years, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Georgia. My step father was an Army Sgt and superhero to me and my mom was everything to me. My biological dad was one of my biggest inspirations and career mentors.I started my first business at age 8 and by 13 I launched 2 other businesses. I was a very active and ambitious child. Doing CHORES gave me a great work ethic and attention to detail that helped me later in life, especially in business.I have 3 sisters 1 one brother. My older sister is more like the big brother I never had. She beat me up until age 14. LOL I got my first job at 14 at Dairy Queens and all throughout high school I worked, played sports and went to school.
THINGS ABOUT ME:
I attended several schools before graduating from Clinton High School.
I attended Benedict College my 1st year of college then transferred to the University Of South Carolina of Columbia to become a Lawyer & Sport Agents. I later befriended and spoke with one of my childhood virtual mentors Tank Black who was Kobe Bryant’s Agent.
I AM a life fan and student of self education. The people that poured into me would be: Les Brown, Eric Thomas, Zig Ziglar, Napoleon Hill, Jim Rohn, Earl Nightingale, Brian Tracy, Robert Kiosayki, Dennis Kimbro, Dr Claud Anderson and many more.
My favorite books: Think & Grow Rich, Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Little Engine That Could, Visionaries & Entrepreneurs.
My favorite magazines to read: Black Enterprise, Entrepreneur, Small Business Opportunities, Jet, and Ebony.
My favorite foods to eat: salmon, brim, blackberries, blueberries, lemon pepper turkey wings…I AM moving more towards vegan.
My favorite activities: basketball, reading classifieds like craigslist, traveling, networking and visiting family.
I have successfully owned 12 businesses in 7 different industries. I ran several businesses while in college at USC.
The businesses included: 2 tire shops my first I bought of craigslist; 2 restaurants one at 22 and other at 25 which was a wing spot I called T’s Wings; a lawn care service I bought out of the Carolina trader; a digital marketing firm; a $1200 a day online loan processing company I started after being laid off; 2 commercial cleaning companies in which I was the youngest to purchase in their history; 2 independent cleaning companies one with as many as 26 employees.
