THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
By: Stacy King-Chaney/Gospel Editor
One nation, under God, indivisible and justice for all.
United, we stand.
Divided, we fall.
Are those statements at the core belief of the citizens of the United States of America?
Will the United States of America’s elected Officials, sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America stand together?
Will the United States of America’s elected Officials, sworn to uphold the Constitution of America be divided?
These are some of the questions, the American people will have answered, as Congress moves forward with presenting the Impeachment Report.
Will the Republic, for which we stand buckle under the pressure of Party loyalty vs. the law of the land?
Will the Republic, for which we stand crumble under the weight of authoritarian rule vs. democracy?
Will our democracy tumble from the swirling winds of trying to decide, if the deeds done by the President of the United States is unethical vs. unlawful?
These are the questions that will be answered, as the Senate Judiciary Committee moves forward with its Hearings.
Do we decide if evidence is substantial based upon it being “overwhelming” for some or “creditable” to others?
Do we stand by the quote, “It is not what you believe, but what you can prove?”
These are questions that are in the minds of many, who wonder is this about upholding the Constitution or is this a tug-o-war between the 3 equal branches of government of the Republic that is the United States of America.
Are we on the eve of deconstructing the constructs of the Constitution that was written to protect our democracy and uphold our Republic that is for the people and by the people?
Are we on the threshold of adopting by practice and not by Constitution the rule of One over the democracy for all?
These are the questions that will soon be answered. We will soon know, if we are united or divided. It is only as a united people that our democracy will remain, for a House divided cannot stand.
