We are starting off this interview reminiscing on the paths we have lived. What changes have we noticed in ourselves and I wanted to know what Aradhana would tell her 20 year old self anything today, what would it be?

An Entrepreneur since the age of 26 and now over 23 years in business Aradhana Sangwan is the outcome of a passionate journey in the field of style and fashion. She is inspired by the various cultures that she has been exposed to while living as an expat in South east Asia. Inspired by those who speak their truth Aradhana is the change. “I am the change .. change is the only constant and in the right direction helps me become a better version of me.” Everyone has a why and Arra as a brand came about after 6 years of running a curated store. It was during that time she realised her passion for gemstones and jewlery design. “Having lived in countries like India, China and Indonesia I have been exposed to various cultures. This helped me develop people’s skill and understand that social and cultural backgrounds play an important role not only in ones day to day life but also have to be factored into our work life. “
What are 3 things you feel every business owner should know?
Most important thing is Passion. Must be passionate about what your are doing. Then comes dedication and discipline. Lastly team work. Have to build a team which works well together at all levels. A happy team is a dedicated team and passionate about what they do.

What do you do to keep a healthy mental health?
This is the most important state of being. So I live in the now, stay happy and always see the positive outcome in a situation.
What brings your peace?
Knowing that there are always two sides to a coin.
How do you deal with challenges?
Believing that after sunset there is sunrise.
How do you deal with grief?
Face it, acknowledge it and then accept it.
What is your favorite part and worst part of what you do?
Favorite is buying all the gemstones as colors fascinate me and then make my designs come alive. Worst is when I have to tell my artisan that he has not done the right thing and we have to redo it.
What has been the hardest part about running your Business/Brand/Vision?
Trying to make it global. Still working on it.
If you could have anything in the world what would it be?
Would be the ability to connect and help woman entrepreneur’s on a global platform.
Tell us a secret fact about you?
I love taking risks and exploring new avenues even if I don’t know have any knowledge of the same. I learn along the way. For me it’s a new adventure everyday.
