As the Christian Editor, I understand that there is life after we leave this earthly realm. Life is meaningful and significant if we make deposits in the hearts of people and leave behind an enduring legacy. Which is obvious following the aftermath of his untimely death. I was not aware of Nipsy Hussle nor was I a fan but it is undeniable how he affected his generation and his community.
Although, in most people’s eyes he was a young man, it is apparent that it is not the length of your life but the impact of your life that matters. There are people that have outlived him twice and have done far less. In reference to his influence he is certainly among the ranks of the martyrs that went before him.
What is unfortunate is that he died at the hands of one of his own. Black on black violence is so disheartening because this generation fails to acknowledge and honor the price that was paid for our freedom.
In closing, one biblical scripture comes to mind in Hebrews 9:17. It infers that a will or the disposal of one’s affairs is only in effect and has power after the person dies. I want to remind this generation if Nipsy Hussle influenced you in any way make good on the deposit. RIP Nipsy Hussle and My prayers are with his family.
