The best way to help yourself is to help another person who needs exactly what you are lacking. There is always someone who is in a worse position than you that you can help. Do it! Somehow God and the universe become aware and almost immediately help you in return.
I’m very fortunate that my day job is at a publicity company where I have the ability to help others all day long. I feel it’s because of my constant work to help others that God has abundantly blessed me! Had I worked in a job where I’m constantly taking from people or punishing people versus helping people, I know my karma would be much different. I walk around expecting good things to happen to me because I truly believe I’m a good person. I believe the Bible where it states that all things will be done for those who are doing God’s purpose. I have tremendous confidence that everything I do will succeed because I keep God first in all projects.
For example, if my clients make tons of money from a book or a movie, you can bet I’m the first one saying, “Congratulations! Now can we start an organization to _______” and I give them a stern look or sound over the phone and they know that if they don’t, I won’t open any more doors for them. When many enter the industry they don’t understand this universal law. I have to teach them that if you do not give back from the blessing God has given you, God will no longer bless you. The entire reason we are being blessed is to bless others. We cannot miss the lesson in the blessing.
Many people believe they have to be perfect to help another person. That’s not true. I have tons of flaws and I don’t let them stop me from doing my best to help others. It’s because of my flaws I can be of service to others. I’ve fallen many times and I’ve learned to get up quickly. I see many people who stay down when they fall, because they’re embarrassed or don’t feel they can try again and succeed. God put me on this earth to tell everyone we can all get back up and succeed! Failure is not fatal; it’s simply the best lesson we will ever get.
Questions To Ask Yourself:

•Giving someone a compliment when you see them looking down is a fantastic way of being of service. Can you begin to do this?
