The Stars shined bright in Atlanta , GA this week, for the 2017 Andrew J. Young International Leadership Awards, Gala. Celebrities like, Jill Scott, Wyclef Jean, Estelle, gospel artist Anthony Brown , Chris Tucker, Usher, all came to help celebrate the legacy of Andrew J Young.
Andrew Young the civil Rights activist who marched with Martin Luther King Jr, in the sixties, turned 85 ears old this month, and what better way to celebrate than to give back by honoring people who are dedicating their lives to help others as he did during the time of the civil Rights.
Anthony Anderson, star of the hit TV show Blackish, was truly the Host doing the most. We already knew he had comedic flare, But what we didn’t know was he could Play the piano, sing, and Dance. Anthony Anderson did a fantastic job as this years host, his entertainment never stopped . At 85 Years old Anthony Anderson brought Andrew on stage to dance as the room sang Happy Birthday.
The Andrew J. Young International Leadership Awards, recognizing exceptional individuals whose activism, philanthropy and leadership are transforming lives throughout the global community; and, celebrating the 85th birthday of its founder and chair, Ambassador Andrew Young. One of this years winners of the award was the artist know as “Akon”. Akon is working hard to bring electricity to many areas still in the dark in Africa.
