Have you ever needed someone to vet, research, investigate or provide a solution for [something]? Do you feel like there’s not enough time in a day to do it all?
For example: You met Kim on an online professional site. Kim operates a women’s circle and wants to collaborate with your company. You’re not sure where to start to assess Kim’s brand and/or organization. Kim’s organization has been active for under 1 year, online the organization claims to have 2000 plus active members.
Kim’s a great person but protecting your brand and its risk factor is essential to keeping your brand in tact.
Here’s another example: Finding the right media source to release your story or product launch. If you’re not in media or public relations it’s not apart of your daily routine to keep up with media outlets /and/or/ reporters. Where do you find the solution?
There are tons of media outlets online, in print and digitally feeding readers, viewers and listeners but knowing the correct outlet fitting for your brand is essential to gaining the right exposure.
Final example: I recently contacted a company and the representative who answered my call gave me completely inadequate information, if I was not well-informed prior to contacting this company; I would have been taken for a ride. Needless to say, I immediately educated the call-center rep. and ask if she was prepared to actually do her job. Honestly, who has time to waste or lose money on people not willing to do their job.
It’s the informational era and there’s no excuses to as to why consumers / or concerned citizens have to take the fall. For years, I’ve been working as a publicist but in most cases~ my clients lean on me for resources, answers, solutions and investigation services. All things considered, I am completely convinced there are millions who would love to retain me to find solutions, investigate, and/or provide resources [saving them money and time]. Knowledge is Power! Although, it is impossible for any one person to everything, it is not impossible to know something.
Socrates held that if a man knew anything, he could give an account [or, explanation] of [what he knew] to others. (Xenophon, Memorabilia iv, 6, 1, tr. Guthrie; cf. Laches 190c: to ‘know’ is to ‘be able to tell’.)
Maybe it has crossed your mind that in your personal or business, “I need someone to assist me in finding a solution, do research, make a connection, investigate or represent me to protect my interest.” Certainly, it is the gate that keeps one protected and informed. It’s my passion and purpose to find empirical data to support my findings based on facts, laws, and case study.
