If you like big fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, sunshine yellow eggs and a hot cup of coffee, this is the place to be.
So, I ventured out again, to a place I had never visited before. This time an author friend of mine joined me for breakfast at, Another Broken Egg Café. Although we went for breakfast, brunch is a favorite there.
We started early and met there right at 9:30AM. I’m glad we made that choice, because by the time we left, an hour and a half later, there was literally a line out the door. Here’s why I can attest to that.
Shortly after we arrived, an attendant greeted us with a smile. He welcomed us and assured us we would be seated momentarily. During the short wait, I admired the pictures on the wall and observed people chatting, while eating.
Moments later, our waitress ushered us to our table and handed us menus. It took a few minutes for me to order because everything looked good, it was hard to decide! There was French toast, made of Hawaiian thick sliced bread topped with powdered sugar. And then there was the Cinnamon Roll French toast topped with cream cheese icing and whip cream. Goodness! There were omelets galore. One omelet included sautéed lobster. Waffle lovers can enjoy chicken and Belgium waffles and waffle sliders with bacon and cheddar jack. A lot of the items are embellished with fruit, whip cream or some type of icing. Gluten free items are offered as well.
I actually got exhausted from trying to decide what to order, so I finally decided on the fluffy pancakes, with scrambled eggs and bacon.
While waiting for our order my friend and I talked and I realized how intimate the surroundings were. Not a real noisy setting, which is a plus first thing in the morning. Not a large place but nicely sized for a good crowd.
It’s now eating time! Everything I ordered was just right and tasty! I definitely recommend, Another Broken Egg Café.
