PUBLIC RELATIONS QUICK LESSON AND Collaborating with a Purpose by Adding Value ..
Okay .. Lets learn a little something about doing business or “How to receive support?” Businesses are in business to make money correct? (ok) But there’s something else that (successful) business people truly have to understand – “Relationships” will trump money any day!” [FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS PUBLISHED STATEMENT I will not be able to go into the means of “Relationships building.”] I’ll keep it short and simple.
I am going to give you a prime example of added value.
Susan wants to do a business venture but she needs more support (MORE people) to attract corporate sponsors so Susan contacts a few business owners who have a following or (cohorts of people) who trust their opinion. (Great) Later, Susan collaborated with these two businesses in her community. (ok)
The businesses she approved for the joint venture both have over 200 people + with an interest. From the collaboration they have maximized their potential to reach more MOTIVATED CONSUMERS (Susan has 400 in her debate) the other (two business have over 200+ in their database) together they will reach a total of (800+ plus) MOTIVATED CONSUMERS which is very attractive to corporate sponsors.
With the sponsors (sponsorship financial contribution) ALL 3 PARTIES have agreed to use the money for advertisement and media exposure. (ok.. let me take a sip of water we are just about done)
Lets Talk About Added Value.. Susan decision to collaborate was well thought out, she added value by aligning herself with an (1) opportunity (2) corporate sponsors (3) business owners who understood the benefits and value (Benefits) Together they increased their brand visibility, profit margins, and consumer base.
Bottomline:When you ask other people to support your business concept, venture, event, and etc. Please keep in mind (successful) business people want to know WHAT IS THE ADDED VALUE for their company, organizations and etc? Talk BIG PICTURE –
