White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci has offered his resignation. Questions are swirling as to the timing of Scaramucci’s resignation and General John Kelly’s new positions as White House Chief of Staff.
It has been reported that Kelly did not believe Anthony Scaramucci was displined enough for the position. Scaramucci’s credibility was also questioned by General Kelly.
The infamous Scaramucci outbursts on Twitter and threats to fire everyone in the White House suspected of having anything to do with the White House leaks, is merely one example of the ensuing chaos erupting in the White House at the hands of Scaramucci.
According to White House sources, Mr. Scaramucci said it was best to give General Kelly a clean slate to perform in his new role as Chief of Staff.
The news comes only days after Scaramucci’s hiring earlier this month. Since then, the White House has faced the resignations of press secretary Sean Spicer and chief of staff Reince Priebus.
A day prior to Priebus’ announced departure last week, Scaramucci made headlines for delivering a scathing, profanity-laced critique of the chief of staff to a reporter with The New Yorker.
